The proceeds of all Inspirational Racing Events benefit the Faith Marie Losee Foundation, a component fund of Grand Haven Area Community Foundation.

Faith Marie Losee, infant daughter of Todd and Diane Losee was born stillborn on Friday October 13, 2006 at 31 weeks gestation.  She died of an umbilical cord accident.  Since her death, we have been determined that Faith Marie may have lived a short life but she would still make a difference in the world.

The mission of Faith Marie’s fund is to help provide infant medical equipment to neonatal departments at local hospitals.  Through this equipment, we hope to save a child’s life and give them a second chance in life, the second chance that Faith Marie did not receive.

In 2007, the fund purchased a carrying case and software for a SIMS baby for Hackley Hospital .  This allowed Hackley to bring the SIMS baby out in the community where Firefighters and Police Officers could get hands on experience with the baby.

In 2008, the fund purchased sleep sacks for Mercy Health Partners which were given to infants who might be susceptible to SIDS.

In 2009, the fund purchased an ALS Laerdal Baby for  North Ottawa Community Hospital for their staff to practice infant medical procedures.

In 2010, the fund purchased a reclining chair, breast pump, table, mini refrigerator and decorations for a lactation room at North Ottawa Community Hospital .

In 2011, the fund purchased a Neo-Puff Conversion Package and a Nita Newborn Simulator (IV) for North Ottawa Community Hospital.

In 2012, the fund purchased a phototherapy bed to treat newborns with high bilirubin (jaundice) for North Ottawa Community Hospital.
