Welcome to the Oktoberfest Marathon, 1/2 Marathon and 5 - K. This event is measured, certified and sanctioned with USA Track and Field. The marathon is a Boston and NYC Marathon Qualifier. Spring Lake's Central Park is the venue for this established, well organized, scenic and family friendly event. Central Park offers a great park setting and play area for children. The park also keeps the finish area, food tent and awards presentation all within 100 feet of each other. Aid stations will be placed 1 1/2 to 2 miles apart. Every aid station will be fully stocked with water, Gatorade, Honey Stinger gels, bananas, pretzels and ice chips. All participants will receive a long sleeve "Dri - Fit" tech shirt. All finishers of the full marathon, 1/2 marathon AND 5-K will receive a "Finisher" medal. All finishers of the marathon, 1/2 marathon AND 5-K will also receive a pint glass with the event logo. After you finish, you can enjoy your post-race food and awards while watching friends and family cross the finish line. Packet pick up and late registration will also take place under the tent at Central Park on Friday and Saturday. In addition, all 3 events start in Central Park within 120 yards from the finish. The marathon and 1/2 marathon courses take runners on a scenic loop around Spring Lake. Participants will run primarily on the bike path while also taking a local road through a scenic neighborhood. The 5 - K course will keep runners in the Village of Spring Lake while offering views of Spring Lake. While the marathon and 1/2 marathon offer a few gentle rolling hills, the 5 - K course is flat and fast. In addition to the "Main Event" on Saturday, there is also a 1 mile kid's run on Friday, near the conclusion of packet pick up.

In addition to enjoying one of the most scenic courses in Michigan with all of the amenities, proceeds will support the Faith Marie Losee Foundation, a component of the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation. Funds raised by the Faith Marie Losee Foundation are used to purchase equipment and supplies for neo-natal departments at local hospitals.
