GREAT LAKES MARATHON SERIES ANNOUNCEMENT!
The Great Lakes Marathon Series is a collaboration of 25 marathons that take place along the 5 Great Lakes. The goal of this series is to invite the running world to come and enjoy the unique beauty of each race, while simultaneously raising awareness of conservation and restoration efforts of the Great Lakes as well as focusing on the Great Lakes ecosystem and economies. Please note that the Great Lakes Marathon Series can only be accomplished by running the 26.2 mile distances offered by each event. Races run at any other distance will not count towards the completion of the race series.

Welcome to the 2013 Oktoberfest Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, and 5K. Shoreline Sport and Spine is proud to sponsor the Oktoberfest series of races in beautiful Spring Lake, Michigan on September 28th, 2013. All three of our courses start and finish at Old Boys' Brewhouse showing off the beauty of Spring Lake, Grand Haven, Ferrysburg, and Fruitport. The Boston Marathon Qualifier course is one of the most scenic courses in Michigan, winding out to Lake Michigan and the North Pier before returning back to Ferrysburg and circling around Spring Lake. The 1/2 Marathon course circles picturesque Spring Lake winding through beautiful lakefront neighborhoods. The 5K course keeps you in the village of Spring Lake with views of the lake.
The Pre-Race expo and pasta dinner will be Friday September 27th, 2013 at Old Boys' Brewhouse. The Pre-Race Expo will take place from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and pasta dinner will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. We will have post race awards and lunch for all participants and their families at Old Boys' along with kids activities throughout the weekend.
